Josh Blay

Hey, I'm Josh! I was born in Canada but my family immigrated to the U.S. when I was young. I have always been incredibly passionate about immigration, which led me to pursue a Master's degree in International Community Development at Northwest University. My thesis focused on ways American citizens and immigrants can work together to advocate for asylum seekers. In my personal time, I've been able to spend time living in Germany working with Syrian refugees, on the border of South Texas assisting asylum seekers from Central America, and in Washington D.C. living with and advocating for the Uyghur people on Capitol Hill. Most recently, I hosted refugees in my home from Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Myanmar, Colombia, and Guatemala. I love traveling (20 countries and counting), learning from other cultures (especially food recipes), and caring for people who need a helping hand. Luckily, I get to do all these things at Deel. Since joining Deel in 2020, I've devoted my time to working with hundreds of entrepreneurs, founders, employees, and tech talent to navigate global immigration. I find joy demystifying the complexities of immigration, and providing straight forward solutions that enable amazing people to build amazing companies, ideas, and technology around the world. I'm looking forward to chatting with you soon! Cheers, Josh
